Solar energy with good old fashion fun!

Berty and Masha are now back at it, having added the helicopter with solar-powered rotor into their array of solar toys! This time it is a solar powered wooden helicopter. The helicopter’s thin-film solar panels use the sun’s energy to power its main rotor. The stronger and more direct the sunlight, the faster it spins. Just like the wooden airplane toy that Berty and Masha launched last year in Switzerland, the helicopter is made from solid chestnut wood and features a tiny little pilot in the cockpit, tail fins, and even landing skids.

This toy is reminiscent of the wooden toys from olden days but with modern twist of using renewable energy as its power source, meaning there are no needs for batteries and switches. All you need is sunlight! It makes for a cute way to educate kids about clean energy. I would say it is definitely the ultimate green toy that combines solar energy with good old fashion fun.

  4. Howdy, There’s no doubt that your site could possibly be having internet browser compatibility issues. Whenever I take a look at your website in Safari, it looks fine but when opening in I.E., it’s got some overlapping issues. I just wanted to give you a quick heads up! Other than that, wonderful blog!
